VEGETARIAN FOOD

 



Eating vegetarian or vegan is a fresh approach, but has dangers. The homo sapiens always ate animal protein. A diet without animal protein which contains essential nutrients, nutrient deficits will probably occure. To replace those nutrients with tablets is not in the mind of eating vegan or vegetarian, as tablets are not at all a fresh and healthy approach. Other ways to replace the important nutrients have to be found, which is partly possible with certain plants. At the other hand, eating lots of fruits, vegetables, nuts, sea-weet, lentils - all foods which are filled with lots of essential nutrients, a vegan and vegetarian is healthier as an average man, who eats meat, but skips too many important nutrients in his often vitamine and minerals poor diet.

Vegans do not eat any food from animals, no meat, no eggs and also no milk products. They eat solely food stem from plants. Fruits, vegetables,, grain products, lentils (including soja-products like tofu), sea-weed.

Vegetarians do not eat meat (no red and no white meat and usually no fish), they do eat eggs, cheese and other milk products. Many, who say they are vegetarians, actually mean that they do not eat red meat. Those people do eat poultry and fish.

Some vegans are also raw eaters.

I watched a video of an interview with HH the 14th Dalai Lama, who said that ate meat and fish before he came to India. There he was told that it is good to be a vegetarian and that it is considerate toward the animal spieces not to kill and not to eat them. Then he had a gallstone and was operated in the USA. There he was told that it is better to get back to eat animal protein. After he left the hospital in the US, he again eats meat, fish and all kinds of food.

I personally need red meat. It gives energy and I am a person who can’t store energy for long. Red meat helps to even that out. When I eat a vegetarian meal, I am missing something and am feeling that.

Some people stay pure vegetarians for many years, before nutritional deficits are not to overlook. When they find out that it was not such a good choice to be vegetarians, it is often too late and to cure the damages takes a long time.

Indians, who are vegetarians, eat plant protein, whch you find in lentils. In India there are lots of different kinds of lentils and they spice it up. This is not so easy in other parts of the world, where there are not so many kinds of lentils available.
